Michelle Eidson

Michelle Eidson joined Platte River Ventures as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development in 2011. For much of the past decade, Ms. Eidson has been a corporate development professional in the media technology and satellite services sectors.

Prior to joining Platte River, Ms. Eidson was the Director of Corporate Development for EchoStar Corporation. Ms. Eidson's primary responsibilities at EchoStar included sourcing and evaluating strategic partnerships, investments and acquisitions to enhance EchoStar's set top box platform, including investments in Sling Media and Move Networks. Ms. Eidson helped establish EchoStar's strategic investment practice and was responsible for marketing and developing relationships with deal flow sources.

Previously, Ms. Eidson was an Associate with Holden Capital, a Denver-based venture capital firm focused on early stage technology investments. Ms. Eidson was also an investment banking Associate with JPMorgan Chase & Co. She began her career in Cairo, Egypt, as a consultant with Arthur Andersen on a USAID-backed project for the Government of Egypt.

Ms. Eidson earned a joint MBA and Master of Arts in International Relations from the University of Chicago's Booth School of Business and a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies with a minor in Economics from Colby College.
